To be a yoga teacher is to be a lifelong yoga student. Join Megan Young and Katie Braja for a series of timely workshops, specifically designed for graduates of the Stamford Yoga Center 200-hour Teacher Training (though all yoga teachers are welcome!). Sharpen your teaching eye, deepen your knowledge, and enhance your ability to create powerful yoga experiences for groups and individuals.
Each Teachers Workshop will include a discussion and embodiment practice centered around key topics to support your teaching journey:
Aug 29: Teaching on Zoom - How do we adapt teaching yoga to an online space? What changes, and what (if anything) remains the same? This workshop will focus on practical skills for connecting and communicating with students over Zoom.
Sep 26: How to Teach Private Clients - Working one-on-one with individuals can be an extremely rewarding part of your teaching practice. We’ll discuss the soft skills, like cultivating trusting relationships, as well as the practical aspects of designing and offering customized sequences for private clients.
Oct 24: Meditation Reboot - The spiritual journey is often a long and winding road, with surprise stops (and roadblocks) along the way. In this workshop, we’ll review meditation techniques from the 200-hour training, and talk about the pleasures and challenges of sustaining your own meditation practice.
Nov 21: Mantra + Mudra - Go deeper into the world of sacred sounds (mantra) and hand gestures (mudra) to enhance your asana, pranayama, and meditation practices.
All workshops are 10:00am - 12:00pm on Zoom, and a recording will be made available.
Investment: $40 per workshop
Limited scholarships available. If you are interested in participating but cost is an obstacle, please contact us at hellomegan@gmail.com or katie@katiebraja.com.
Cancellation Policy: In the event that you must cancel, your workshop fee may be used towards a future Teachers Workshop.
