Accompanied by a Sound Bath from Megan Young.

A practice designed to facilitate communication between the mind and the body, between ourselves and others.

Vishuddha Chakra (the throat chakra) is our communication center. It governs the way we communicate our internal reality to the external world and is also the gateway between our minds and bodies. When this energy center is tamasic or underactive we have a hard time expressing ourselves, our voice is often restricted and we tend to be more introverted. When this energy center is rajasic or overactive we tend to talk too much, have difficulty listening and our voice is more shrill. When balanced we are able to communicate honestly and effectively with the world around us and there is open communication between the mind and the body. The entire practice including the restorative poses, visualizations and yoga nidra will be designed to balance this energy center.
