A practice designed to bring compassion, self love and balance into our lives. Accompanied by a Soundbath with Megan Young.

Anahata (heart) chakra is the energy center that governs the relationship we have with ourselves and others. When this energy center is tamasic or underactive we can be intolerant, fear intimacy and suffer from depression. When this energy center is rajasic or overactive we can be clingy, jealous and demanding of others. When balanced our lives are balanced and we are both compassionate and self-loving The entire practice including the asana, restorative poses, pranayama and yoga nidra will be designed to bring balance to this energy center.

The practice begins with a gentle guided vinyasa to release stress in the breath and tension from the muscles and joints. Participants will then recline on bolsters to the sound of soothing music, the aroma of essential oils and gentle hands-on adjustments. Each restorative pose will be held for about ten to fifteen minutes. The workshop will end with a twenty to thirty-minute long yoga nidra, a meditation technique based on an ancient tantric technique called Nyasa and practiced in savasana.
